What We Stand For

Gospel Baptist Missions
Our Core Values
-
God-Dependent - This ministry will depend on God for directing its affairs and providing for its needs. The Bible is our primary source of guidance and prayer is our primary means of provision. The ministry would not rely on popular opinion and human manipulation.
-
Christ-Centered - This ministry will center on Christ and His glory - His person, His work, His message, and His salvation. The ministry exists to exalt Jesus Christ, proclaim His Gospel, and help build His church. No one board member, admin staff, and/or missionary will be highlighted or glorified by the organization.
-
Spirit-Led - This ministry will be led by the Holy Spirit. His guidance will be sought by fervent prayer and careful study of the Scriptures. Decisions will not be based solely on the majority of votes or the need of the hour but on peace and understanding brought about by the Spirit of God.
-
Gospel Focused - This ministry will focus on the preaching of the Gospel, the making of disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the planting of biblical churches for the glory of God. Evangelism, discipleship, and church planting will be its main priority and program. Involvement in political and socio-economic issues will not be its pursuit.
-
Church Subservient - This ministry will be a servant to the Church. Its desire and design is to assist, coordinate, facilitate, and help churches fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. The agency is not to dictate or dominate the churches; it is to serve humbly under the churches and depend upon the support of churches.
-
Government Compliant - This ministry will comply with the local government. It shall follow laws, rules, and stipulations of the land where it operates provided that they do not conflict with the will of God expressly written in the Bible. The ministry will not encourage dishonest, dishonoring, and disobedient acts even before human authorities.
-
World Separated - This ministry will be separated from the world - its false teachings, sinful practices, and disobedient associations. It will endeavor to keep the Gospel message clear and pure, seek to be holy in all of its affairs, and be markedly different from worldly organizations. The ministry will not work with known false teachers, blatantly disobedient brethren, and those who persist in working with them.
